Jack Layton has announced today that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Politics aside, to Jack and his family, my most sincire wishes for a speedy recovery.

I share the Prime Minister’s view:

Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who was at an event in Saskatchewan, wished Mr. Layton a speedy recovery “I look forward to doing political battle with him for years to come,” Mr. Harper said.
